An illuminated manuscript from the book of Genesis was sold on eBay on Monday for $1.25 million.
The manuscript, a 7,000-word text from the Book of Genesis, was discovered in 1995 by Israel’s Israel Antiquities Authority.
The text was a part of the Hebrew Bible, the sacred book of Judaism.
The book was written between the years 200 B.C. and A.D. 100, and was composed in the Hebrew language.
It contains a large number of stories, including one on the Flood, a discussion of the Garden of Eden, and a commentary on the Torah.
The text was written by the late Jewish scholar Moses Hess, who is also known as Moses Pekal.
He was also the first Jewish scholar to be identified as a founder of Judaism, and one of the earliest scholars to write a complete text.
The sale of the manuscript comes on the heels of an auction in March for a manuscript from an ancient Hebrew library in Istanbul.
That same month, a rare copy of the Torah was auctioned off by a private collector for a record-breaking $8.8 million.
